Lee Knight Caffery focuses her practice on environmental litigation and toxic tort defense. She also assists clients with regulatory concerns in these areas.
She has regularly represented clients in matters related to:
- "Superfund" or CERCLA (Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act)
- RCRA (Resources Conservation and Recovery Act)
- Clean Air Act
- Clean Water Act
- State-level Department of Environmental and Natural Resources litigation and regulatory compliance.
Her litigation work includes defending companies in property contamination, wastewater treatment and underground tank storage disputes, representing clients in federal, state and North Carolina Administrative courts. She also represents clients before the North Carolina Utilities Commission.
Lee Knight Caffery's clients include chemical manufacturers, pharmaceutical companies, private property owners, petroleum companies, product manufacturers and insurance providers.
